They did not like what I said

Or failed to say -

Profited it may be

Though not from me

Since I had not paused to find

A way to hear the untold tale

Behind the common story

Which kept it all polite, well

Locked in decency

And did not sense in the offshore light

That windmills tilt at climate change,

Arms raised in the rusty

Semaphore of prayer.
