Stars are drowned by light, their sparks extinguished
by the sun or city lights. Plunged into darkness, erased
from sight until another cloudless country night.
Stars share the sun’s nurturing power,
caring, bathing in light, helping
animals, humans, plants, reach out
to become what they are meant to be,
patiently abiding, while they are
groping slowly, trying to find their true form.
Life comes in many shapes, sizes,
varying from one celled animals, seeds
to dinosaurs. Each has its unique
shape, point of view, path to travel
to its final destiny:
union with the light.
