With apologies to Mathew 5, 3-10

Blessed are the poor in Spirit

who do not force their sense of truth -

for they will find some welcome here.

Blessed those who mourn

the passing of the meaning that is wrong -

they have the one thing needed in their hands.

Blessed those who search justice

in the sands of the status quo -

they shall be amazed and seldom bored.

Blessed are the merciful

who hear the silent into speech -

they will never be found out.

Blessed are the pure in heart

who forgot how to deceive -

they shall not panic in the maze.

Blessed are the peacemakers

who will not let things be -

they will have no need to be afraid.

Blessed are the persecuted

for the truth which makes us free -

for they will find some welcome here.
